We throw swing dance parties in the Triangle that delight and dazzle - live Swing music - invigorating dancing - and marvelous people.
Future-facing, with a nod to the jazz clubs of the past, our events are welcoming, energizing, and refreshing.
Upcoming events
We host our Swing dance events at a variety of unique venues throughout the Triangle. We typically gather on Saturday nights throughout the year and party all night to a live Swing band playing hot tunes. Check out the events page for our upcoming soirees.
What swing dancing is:
Originated by African American dancers at the glamorous, iconic Savoy Ballroom in Harlem, Swing dancing, or Lindy Hop, is a fun, accessible social dance that is danced to swing music. It was danced worldwide throughout the 1930s, 40s, to today. Swing dancing encompasses many dances that are danced to Swing music including Lindy Hop, solo jazz, Balboa, Collegiate Shag, among others. You’ll find all of these styles on the floor of our parties.
Lindy Hop can be danced by anyone and is extremely beginner-friendly. In fact, most people who come to a Swing dance for the first time have never danced before! Everyone starts somewhere and we’d love to be your first.
All are welcome at our events! You don’t need a partner or any experience - just yourself, a willing attitude, and a bit of curiosity.
